About me
Hi, I'm Marvin Scherer, Data Scientist and SAP Consultant (SAP Certified Associate - Data Analyst - SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Certified Associate - SAP Business Data Cloud) based in Zürich, Switzerland. Since my childhood I've always had a passion for learning, but also for optimization. I was constantly looking what to sell in order to improve my keyboard setup (I've been playing the piano and different keys instruments since I was 12). But it was really during my studies at the University of St. Gallen (HSG) when this passion really took a life from itself.
I had seen quick and fantastic results after I started tracking my workouts. And after reading somewhere "You can't improve, what you don't measure" it totally made click for me. I started tracking all sorts of things where I wanted to see an improvement. Studying, piano practice, personal finance, etc. I was fascinated, by all the improvement and control that measuring and gathering all this data brought to my life. For my Master I kept studying Economics, but this time I decided to focus myself on Data Science. I took all the Data Science related courses including Machine Learning, Big Data Analytics and learned how to program in R.
In 2021, while I was finishing my Master Thesis on Double Machine Learning I got the opportunity to start working in my current career in the field of SAP as a Data Scientist and Consultant. Since then, I've been able to effectively apply my skills and know-how with multiple clients on a wide range of projects with SAP and non-SAP data and technologies. The projects I've worked on, lay across many different industries like the public sector, manufacturing, real estate, utilities, among others.
